Mosaic Courses in North London
Debra Collis runs weekly Thursday morning classes (drop-in) in the Education Room, Kingsgate Workshop Trust Studios, in West Hampstead, North London, and a two-session Beginners workshop  once a month on weekends.  She is planning to start a Sunday drop in session too for adults who work in the week.
The workshops provide an environment where you get a solid understanding of the technical, and traditional aspects of mosaic making, alongside a more innovative and creative approach.  This allows for participants to get practice in making pieces in both the direct and indirect methods and on-going support in developing their work  as a form of self expression.  The Beginners Intensive Course gives participants an opportunity to understand what a ‘mosaic’ is all about, with simple structured exercises to start, and handouts at the end of the lesson.
